Luke 12:32
“Do not be afraid any longer, little flock, for your father is pleased to give you the kingdom.”
– Luke 12:32
Honey, Baby, Sweet Heart… Those are the terms we use for endearment whether it is for our loved ones, parents or even friends. Here in this bible passage, God also has his sweet endearment for us. Little flock, as we are referred by our father.
Every day we are so busy with our own responsibilities. We are so busy thinking of the plans we have for tomorrow, of the money we need for our education or just enough money to save us from our daily needs. We are so busy with our work for we have the thinking that it would be for our better future and state in life but less do we know that at the end of the day there is someone paving the way for us to have and experience the greatest bliss and contentment our minds can’t even fathom. We are always worried for things that might hinder our happiness or just the way of life we want to live. We are so worried of our deadlines in our school or work but less do we know that there is someone preparing for us the best way of life we never thought of living. We are so afraid of the consequences our failure to work or school will bring. We are so afraid of just making decisions that will lead us to hurt and regret less do we know that there is someone out there who is protecting us and is willing to give us a place where there will be no consequences, hurt and regrets.
There, we have God, our Father. He is the one paving the way for us to have and experience the greatest bliss and contentment, the one preparing for us the best way of life we never thought we could live and the one protecting us and willing to give us a place free of consequences, hurt and regrets. He was. He is and He will always be.
In our journey in this life, unconsciously we take for granted the most important things than the things we have here on earth. We prepare for our future here on earth thinking that it will have a bearing in our life somewhere not on earth but with our Father. I am also guilty of being busy and engrossed with what life here on earth is offering me thinking that my life here on earth will never end. I felt guilty of not preparing myself for the coming of the kingdom and not thinking that God is waiting for me in his kingdom.
God, our Father loves us so much that even if we turn away from Him, he is still willing to offer His kingdom for us. We are his little flock, his sons and daughters. God gave me overflowing blessings which are at times not seen but it made me realize that I should not fail God because I believe he expects me in His kingdom. I want to be there with Him for I know God will never offer us anything that will harm us. I believe whatever that comes from God is for my best.
Look inside your heart for there is God waiting for you. We must feed not only our body but our soul for us to deserve the Kingdom of God.
