Mariah Carey – E=MC2: A cause of my LSS
Who would have thought that Mariah Carey would surprise us with another number 1 single, Touch My Body from her new album E=MC2 .
E=MC2 means, Emancipation = Mariah Carey to the second power. I think the production created a very good album title. It really suited Mariah Carey. It was as if it was really made for her not to offend the real inventor of the equation, Albert Einstein.
She came out with her hot and sexy video (not the censored thing). I definitely salute her because at the age of 38, she still manages to have that kind of body. I am not stereotyping the middle age people but Mariah doesn’t look like her age. Please shoot me if she did. Watch her Music Videos as proofs. She hasn’t aged physically since we first saw her sing her ballad, high-key songs, which only she can sing and now with a taste of HipHop, RnB style which suits the new generation’s taste for music.
I gone crazy about her new album E=MC2 especially with her two hit songs, Touch My Body and Bye Bye. It even became my LSS (Last Song Syndrome) for i-don’t-know-how-long days even though I don’t know the real lyrics. Well, I tried to research its lyrics and memorize it but I can’t sing it correctly. Only Mariah knows how, I think. As for me, I can just hum, listen and dance to it. (Touch my body, tenentenen on the floor, wrestle me around, tenenen some more… *that’s how i sing it.)
Even though Touch My Body have always been playing in almost all of the Radio Stations, Bars, Clubs, Music Channels, Transportations and streets it doesn’t make it a “Worn-Out” song. There are even remixes done in several bars that I’ve been to.
According to Wikipedia, The album sold 741,000 copies to date. Her carrier single for the album, Touch My Body became her 18th number one single on the chart. I think she even went beyond Elvis Presley’s record for that matter.
I have always been a fan of Mariah Carey. Whenever we talk of the great singers, the famous of the most famous, we would always link Mariah’s name. Truly, she is one remarkable, outstanding and prominent singer of all time.
