Always Be My Baby = DAVID COOK Fever

I am not a fan of American Idol. I haven’t followed any of its seasons but surely the fruit it bears, I really admire. For the fruit, I mean, the Idols they have made like Jordin Sparks, Elliot Yamin and Kelly Clarkson.

Now, they have gone to it’s 7^th season yet still I haven’t followed any (but I have watched some episodes), poor me. So since the season finale is fast approaching, it’s on the 21^st of May (Top 2 Performance Night) and 22^nd of May (Announcement of the Season 7, American Idol) I would blog about it.

I heard it is a battle of two Davids, David Archuleta and David Cook. This post is not to be bias or whatsoever but from a non-American Idol fan-point of view; I must say that David Cook is much popular. I don’t know if that is the same case in other places or countries, but I believe he received his break when he made his own rendition of Always Be My Baby by Mariah Carey. I myself can testify to that. The story goes this way:

One day, my brother, Jeric was playing his playlist of Season 7 American Idol songs by the finalists. I think he even downloaded or bought it on iTunes. Since I am a fan of Mariah Carey (you can check out my post about it.) I heard the song Always Be My Baby playing but it wasn’t Mariah who is singing and so I asked my brother of who is the singer and he said, it was David Cook. I think his version is damn good. I even asked my brother to send it to my cell phone and I infinitely play it during duties. I even let my group mates listen to it and they loved it. I think I influenced them on some way and now, they are watching American Idol but me. Lol.

I think David Cook has the great chance of winning but David Archuleta has his charms with the youth. They are both good performers because I have also heard David Archuleta’s version of With You by Chris Brown. To David A., I believe he will come along way and will improve more when his voice matures.

Another thing was, I have been receiving group messages from my friends with the lyrics of Always Be My Baby and how they love David Cook.

To David C., good job!!! LOL.
