After the Twilight movie craze, who would have thought that the Philippines would make a local version of Twilight?
Well… not me!
ABS-CBN already bought the copyright for a local re-make of the famous novel Twilight by Stephenie Meyer with a tentative title of “Takipsilim” staring Rayver Cruz as Edward Cullen and Shaina Magdayao as Isabella Swan. The series will be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.
Here’s the full article.
There are a lot of blogs I’ve read about THE “Pinoy Twilight” as they would call it and so here are some of my sentiments about it:
• The first thing that I said when I heard the fuzz is like… “What the f*ck?!” I mean, could somebody slap me? harharhar…
• I have seen some posters in the web… I don’t know if that is the official… Nevertheless, I took it negatively because it is SOOOOO COPYCAT… tsk tsk! Just look for the difference.. hahaha!

• I don’t know if how are they going to make the scenes possible knowing that everything in the book is very foreign as well as the descriptions and everything.
• The question IS… How are they going to make those sugar-coated punch lines in Filipino without making it sound so cheesy and all?
• This is not to criticize him but I think Rayver Cruz is NOT suitable to play the role of Edward. Unless they are going to do a major make-over. (I can’t think of anyone else.. tsk) For those who have read the book, you know what I mean.
• Shaina Magdayao is just “OK” to play the role of Bella.
• I am not satisfied with the movie, but I have trust with ABS-CBN in the production and all, I just wish they will not “edit” the story so much just to fit it to a Filipino setting
• I am not a fan; I just feel I am involved because I have read THE saga.
• I hate THE title. Grrr…
• Who will play the other vampires? or even the wolves? hmmmm… think think think (I bet stars from PBB will be in. harhar)
• Who will sing the OST? Where will Edward’s meadow be???
• Will all the negative comments from all sorts of people, I hope ABS-CBN will give justice to the book. PLEASE! (I know Cathy Garcia-Molina will do a great job with all her blockbuster movies done… :])
• I wish the visual effects will not be so animated that it will look “really” fake.
With all the re-makes… I don’t know what else to comment…
With all the negative comments and those anti-Pinoy Twilights…
Sign this petition or let’s just wait and see… :]]
Do we really have to have our own version of those foreign stuffs? hmmmm…
I still go for the ORIGINAL…
(i mean the book.. :])
~thanks to popazrael and hushgossip for the pictures.
P.S

Naalala ko ang lesson namin noon sa Primary Health Care, partikular ang paghuhugas ng kamay, sabi saamin, “Soap is an emulsifying agent that could remove dirt in your fingers with the help of friction…” ang hirap tagalugin… tsk!
At eto pa..
If you expect the unexpected, wouldn’t the unexpected be expected? Ö
-Actually, the statement above is one of my philosophies in life. Indeed, the unexpected is the one being expected for that matter.
I am starting to get confident with my luck regarding raffles and games.
Rationales:
1. iBlog 4- I won a t-shirt
2. Influential Blogger- I won $100
3. Pantene Blogger’s Night Out- I won a chance to meet and greet Judy Ann Santos

this was my own pic but somone accidentally bumped my friend that's why its blurred...tsk.
Judy Ann: “Dianne” (she called my name to come up to stage with her…)
Dianne: “Hi!”
Judy Ann: “Nahihiya ka ba?”
Dianne: “Yeah…”
*click *click *click
Dianne: “Thank You!”

gathered pics to compensate for the blurred one. hehe!
And that consist my 3-minute er… 30-second encounter with Ms. Judy Ann Santos.
Not bad isn’t it? It’s a once in a lifetime experience… so why not?=)
But wait there’s more…
During the Pantene event, Rj Jimenez of Pinoy Dream Academy Season 1 performed together with his band after the program… I also had a picture with him. He’s very accommodating… We looked like were brothers and sisters. LOL!

“Sabi nila, hindi ka daw naging bata kung hindi mo natikman yung nectar ng santan…”
I received that text message from a friend. Funny how I could be nostalgic and realize that I am not growing any younger.
I could still remember how me and my cousins would ruin our lola’s santan just to play with its colorful flowers. We would connect each flower and then make it as an accessory— a ring, necklace and an earring. My memory is a blurr back then, I forgot how santan’s nectar taste like. It probably taste like water. LOL!
Now, my lola’s santan is still there but I am afraid there’s less flowers now compared to the times when I don’t care of how I look like and during the times when my curiosity is at its spurt.

that's me... with the santan earrings.

I kept telling myself that I live in a monotonous way. Every day is exactly the same but what is so special about today? Well… I just turned a year older today and definitely, it is not the same as yesterday. I was given another year to spend my life with my loved ones— with everybody, another year to be better and another chance to make things right.

I want to make this post somewhat unique but I can find ways on how to do it. A year ago, I didn’t have my debut because I have tight schedule in school. I was busy having my duty and taking care of a post-CVA patient at FEU-NMRF hospital. I was feeding him, cleaning him and changing his diapers nevertheless, I felt fulfilled because I have helped and I was able to give care to others. I had my post-birthday celebration with my classmates and cousins and it was also fun…=)

After I have finished watching the movie, Because I Said So I really, much appreciated the kind of relationship I have with my own mother.

1. Bring Cash
- Of course, you can’t travel if you don’t have the Peso or the Dollar (Whew!)…
2. Bring your camera (whether it’s a digital or camera phone)
- There are a lot of beautiful sites that you will rarely see here in the city…
3. Bring your MP3 players (ipod etc…) or load up your cellphone’s music player with songs
- This is a must especially when you are traveling at night. You tend to get scared as you get farther, it’s a feeling the you are “lost in the woods” or some sort of… Also, if you are traveling on a Sunday, most probably all radio stations play old songs which I hate (not an oldies fan) except if you happen to love or at least know those songs…

4. Bring your shades or umbrella rain or shine…
- You don’t want to look awkward and have closed eyes on pictures right? To add, you’ll never when it will rain so bring your umbrellas to still enjoy the place despite of the harsh weather.

5. Bring your jacket even though you are going to a beach or somewhere you think is hot
- Just to be ready you know and same as my reason above. You can always find ways to wear your jacket. It can be protection from cold, mosquito bites or any other insect bites and also from the sun rays ( if you use it the other way…) Just be creative you know… I never go anywhere far without my jacket.

6. Be with the company of someone you know you will enjoy the whole trip or at least be with someone you knew enough about already
- For SAFETY and for a GOOD TIME!
7. Do your Homework
- If you don’t know the idea on where to go in the place you wanted to visit, search it on the web. There are a lot of travel blogs that features about a certain place and will give you tips on how you can have a fruitful trip from the moment you enter your transportation to the moment you arrive at your destination. The great thing is that they also suggest side trips that are on the way… My mom does it in the couple of our out-of-town trips.
8. If you are “Byahilo” or has a motion sickness, drink Bonamine one hour prior to your departure or bring a “puke bag” instead
- My mom always brings a “puke bag” and lets us drink Bonamine when I was a child. Good thing, I don’t experience motion sickness.
9. Don’t wear GREEN pants
- Or else, you will play touch the color or your companions might worry that you are lost because you have the power to do camouflage. LOL!

These tips are just from my experiences. I didn’t place the other “must-haves” because it is very common and I know my readers are not in any way stupid right? LOL! Anyway, that’s all I know, I hope you learned even just a bit. LOL!
