Mama’s quotable quotes part 2

During our Batangas Trip…

Jeric: Si Mama talaga yung naapektuhan nung di tayo natuloy kahapon eh…
(trans. Mama was the only one who got affected when our trip was postponed yesterday…)
Me and Roxanne: Oo nga eh noh…
(trans. Agree…)
Jeric: Nadepressed eh…
(trans. She was depressed.)
Me: Hindi nadepressed si Mama, NaDESTROYED siya eh… Hahaha
(trans. No, she wasn’t depressed, she was DESTROYED… LOL!)
Mama: But I PICK UP THE PIECES…
Me, Jeric and Roxanne: Abaaahh gumaganon pa! Hahaha
(trans. Nice, there really should be that line huh. LOL!)
Mama: See natuloy tayo ngayon…
(trans. See, we made it today…)

when we got at the resort we planned to stay for the night…

Mama: May vacancy pa ba?
(trans. Is there a vacancy?)
Security guard: Ma’am fully booked na po… weekends po kasi ngayon kaya halos lahat ng resort fully booked… Kung gusto niyo po tignan niyo po muna…
(trans. We are fully booked, it is a weekend that is why almost all of the resorts are fully booked, if you want you can ask at the reception area downstairs…
Mama: O sige bababa ako…
(trans. Ok, I’ll go down…)

after 30 minutes… it was past 7PM and we were hungry…

Mama: Wala eh fully booked daw… hanap na lang tayo ng ibang resort…
(trans. There is no vacancy, let’s just find another resort)
Me: Saan na tayo? Maganda ba don?
(trans. Where are we going to stay? Is it beautiful there?)
Jeric: Feeling ko maganda pero ang daming tao…
(trans. I think it’s beautifu; but there are a lot of people…)

after going to 5 resorts (I think.) we still don’t have to stay for the night. All resorts were fully booked.

Mama: Parang Mary and Joseph pala ang drama natin ngayon eh… Hehehe
(trans. We were like Mary and Joseph… LOL!)
Me: Oo nga eh, naunahan mo lang ako sabihin yon. Hahaha
(trnas. You just said it first. LOL!)

Mama called her patient which happens to live in Batangas… She recommended that we stay in a hotel at the city then go to the beach tomorrow morning… So, we decided to go back to the city of San Juan, Batangas to check-in at a hotel…

Arriving at the hotel and in our room…

Jeric: Ate ang ganda dito at mura pa kaysa dun sa nakita nating isa na ganon din ang price pero panget naman…
(trans. The place is so beautiful but not that expensive compared to the other place we asked with the same price but it is not that beautiful…)
Me: Oo nga sosyal may second floor and terrace pa…
(trans. Yeah, it’s high class and it has a second floor and a terrace)
Mama: See… I always pick up the pieces…

Our family had the great time at Laiya, San Juan, Batangas. There was a deeper meaning when my mother said those lines and it is another story… LOL!

Mama’s quotable quotes part 1

Couple of nights ago…

Roxanne: Dami mo talagang alam Ma…
(trans. You really know a lot Ma.)
Mama: Siguro kung naging tanga lang ako, hindi kami siguro maghihiwalay ng papa mo…
(trans. In case I was dumb, maybe your father and I would not separate)
Me: Bakit naman?
(trans. Why?)
Mama: E kasi, tanga yung ipinalit niya sakin e…
(trans. Because he left me for a dumb person)
Me: Grabe ka naman Ma! Hehehe Bitterneeeeesssss…
(trans. That’s harsh of you Ma, Bitter…LOL!)
Mama: E totoo naman noh, “Behind the success of a man is a woman, behind the FALL of a man is ANOTHER woman.”
(trans. That’s the truth, “Behind the success of a man is a woman, behind the FALL of a man is ANOTHER woman.”)
Me: Uhmmm… Anu nga ulit yon Ma? Hehehe
(trans. Can you repeat it again Ma?LOL!)
Mama: Ako yung behind ng success niya, tignan mo ngayon kung asan na siya…
(trans. I was behind his success and look at his life now…)
Me: Dami mo talagang alam Ma! Hahaha
(trans. You really know a lot Ma! LOL!)
*words that are in the UPPERCASE were pronounced with emphasis.

then, I repeated my mother’s quote for the enth time to memorize it and blog about it. LOL!

I happen to read this quote in one of the text messages sent to me that is why it was partly familiar when I heard it from my mom. This goes to show that our family can joke and be happy still even with these kinds of situations. Oh well, hope you learn something from here. =)

Nsg. Dx: Impaired Skin Integrity

Doctor’s Diagnosis: Pressure Ulcer Stage III

Nurse’s Diagnosis: Impaired skin integrity related to immobility as manifested by presence of bedsores in the upper and lower extremities

Diagnosis of a certain disease differs when you are a nurse or a doctor. A nurse’s diagnosis is more meticulous and detailed compared to doctors. It just goes to show that nurses are very detailed and particular when it comes to these but diagnosis is not my reason for this post.

When a student nurse observes…

Things keeping me busy this summer are the following:

Duty at Cainta, Rizal

Duty at Morong, Rizal

Duty at Baliuag, Bulacan

Duty

Duty

School

School

Duty

Duty

Holy cow, did I just said duty 7 times? So basically, that’s it. Almost half of my summer vacation was spent attending my summer class. I was a transient student for 3 straight rotations. I became a boarder in my own home. I forgot it is to feel the coolness of our air condition and the softness of my dear bed. Nevertheless, I learned how to be independent by washing my clothes and uniform at the same time ironing it. (What an accomplishment! LOL.)

Rubik’s Cube part 2.

January 17, 2008, when I first solved the 3×3 Rubik’s cube with the help of my friend, Paula. I was on duty back then, while waiting for cases to come, I spent most of the time solving the cube instead of having an interesting chat with my group mates. It was summer 2007 where in I first attempted to solve the cube in accordance to my previous blog entry, I just solved the base layer. You could just imagine the interval of my decision to finally continue solving the cube. In my second attempt, it took me weeks to have finally solved it because I have troubles in identifying on which way I should turn the cube for I was left-handed. I also don’t have the luxury of time to a lot in solving it. Honestly, I even got a small piece of paper that I carry with me, written on it was several algorithms that I need to memorize. Guilty of cheating, but it worked. Upon solving the cube, I was overjoyed and even let my group mates see it individually, up close. For few moments my heart was full of bliss and achievement but then, a sudden thought came to me “That was it?” this is not to brag how easy it is to solve the cube but to let you see my realization.

current LSS

WHAT CAN I DO by The Corrs

I haven’t slept at all in days
It’s been so long since we’ve talked
And I have been here many times
I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong

What can I do to make you love me
What can I do to make you care
What can I say to make you feel this
What can I do to get you there

There’s only so much I can take
And I just got to let it go

And who knows I might feel better
If I don’t try and I don’t hope

What can I do to make you love me
What can I do to make you care
What can I say to make you feel this
What can I do to get you there

No more waiting, No more aching
No more fighting, No more trying

Maybe there’s nothing more to say
And in a funny way I’m calm
Because the power is not mine
I’m just gonna let it fly

What can I do to make you love me
What can I do to make you care
What can I say to make you feel this
What can I do to get you there

Love me..
